SHINE BRIGHT

I swear it was only mid-March. I loved this mood board from Sassy Scrappers and definitely wanted to give it ago, then to realise on the weekend that I only had a few days left. Can you believe it's already April?
Anyway, I whipped this up today, inspired by not only the moodboard but DT member Chantalle's take on it. While she used brush strokes I decided to make my title a feature across my page.

I am super disappointed with how my layouts have been photographing lately, actually ever. I have tried every position in the house and every setting on my camera. I promise you it looks a lot better in person. The watercolour looks a lot bright and more orange. I'm going to try take a better picture tomorrow.

I used bit and pieces from past and current Scrappery kits because that's all I really have on hand here at Uni. Plus some things I've pick up at Spotlight while I've been here. I'm not going to tell you how much I've spent there in the last 5 weeks.

To create my title I stuck down some DIY Shop letter stickers, used my gelatos to create a watercolour effect then removed the stickers and stitch around each letter with this gorgeous multi-coloured thread.

Hopefully I'll have more non DT project coming your way really soon. So good to be able to scrap for yourself every now and then.

HELLO DARLING

Cleo is The Scrappery's January kit and it is AMAZING. It features plenty of paper and embellishments from Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection which I adore. The colours are just so different to other ranges out at the moment. I don't know about you guys but I'm actually a huge fan of purple at the moment, especially lilac and violet. I know a lot of scrapbookers dread it though.

And finally, for your pleasure and entertainment, I also made a process video which you can check out here.
Thanks for checking it out.

And thanks for stopping by,
Sophie

A lot of LOVE for 'Clara'

Today I'm sharing with you some sneaks from a layout I created using Clara, the December TSK over at The Scrappery. TOTALLY LOVE THIS KIT. It my favourite yet, featuring lots and Maggie Holmes Open Book and lots more goodness. And it's so versatile, you can check out my Christmas layout here and a vintage layout here. I don't think the subjects/photos in those layouts could be more different.
I am loving this combination of colours at the moment, pink, red and black and white, especially because Valentines Day is approaching.

The photo I used I took when I visited my cousins in January. It's a scrapbookers dream when you pull your camera out and everyone is more than willing to pose for a picture or 100 or whatever. So here's a few more. Which will MORE than likely find there way onto a layout sometime soon.

Make sure you head over to the Scrappery for the full layout and and more gorgeous CT inspiration. And the January kit has just been revealed too. Exciting times.

Sophie

SUYS October Challenge

Hey guys, I'm back and sharing with you Show Us Your Stuff's October challenge which is this awesome sketch created by Chloe!
This month we have Kellie Stamps sponsoring so be sure to get your entries in to go into the draw to win!
And here is my interpretation of the sketch!
I used a background I had previously created but didn't end up using at the time. I often create backgrounds but don't end up using them so it felt great to finally use one.
My handmade embellishment is a flair from APOCD!
These butterflies are created using Heidi Swapp resist paper and delusions ink!

Be sure to head over to the blog for more amazing DT samples.
Until next time!

THE SCRAPPERY

March? MARCH?
Hi guys, I'm so sorry for my lack of blogging! I'm sure I wasn't missed too much. I haven't been blog hopping for months. I mostly get my inspiration from Pinterest and Instagram these days and that's where I promote challenges as well.
For the past few months I was struggling to balance scrapbooking commitments, with Uni and travelling to and from home. I was cast in the Bendigo Threatre Company's production of Chicago, one of my favourite musical, which means during my semester break (which I thought I would spend scrapbooking) I was travelling back and forth between home and Uni.
My masters projects have been my top priority (and obviously I can't show you those) which means any other scrapbooking commitments, let alone scrapbooking for myself, have been pushed aside.

TO THE POINT!
I am amazingly thrilled to be joining Nae and Kayla on The Scrappery Creative Team. The Scrappery, if you haven't heard of it, is a brand new kit club specialising in Project Life and traditional scrapbooking kits right here in Australia.
I will be working with The Scrappery Kit and the Bits and Pieces Kit.
Below are some sneaks of what I created with Jericho, which is the TSK for September.
I also created a PROCESS VIDEO which you can watch here. Or the blog post here.

I also created a layout using the BPK, Elsa. I also used some pits and pieces from Jericho and some products from my own stash. Check out the full layout here.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you like what you see here please be sure to follow the links for more.

123 March Challenge

Hi again,
Today I have another challenge from 123 to get your mojo flowing.
Here's the criteria:
And here's my sample.
I have hand drawn several frames on some white card stock, first with pencil then with pen, then filled them in with watercolour(mist).
I then used a small craft knife to cut out the centre of each frame before placing some patterned paper behind the windows. I then stitched around the edges of the frame.
I then added some emphemera from Heidi Swapp and a few resins.

You still have plenty of time to complete the challenge. Head over to the blog for more stunning DT examples.

123 February Challenge

February's challenge is finally up over at 123. We apologise for the delay but you still have a month, til 22nd of March, to complete your layouts with this amazing prompt.

Here is my sample...

I have used a few different shades of purple on my layout, both with hints pink and blue hues.
I used papers from Heidi Swapp and Dear Lizzy and some Heidi Swapp Ephemera.

I created a sequin pocket from tulle for something different.

I hope you like my sample.
Please head over to the 123 Challenge blog for more yummy DT inspiration.
